When Amazfit set out to showcase their performance tech in action, they tapped Toil Studio to lead not one, but two high-impact campaigns that put their watches to the test in vastly different arenas: on the football field with NFL running back Derrick Henry, and in the rugged outdoors with a trail runner and mountain biker navigating Portland’s wooded terrain.
Campaign 1:
Derrick HenryShot in Dallas, we turned the entire production around in just over a week. We sourced a local location, ramped up a Texas-based crew, and met Derrick where he was. We partnered with Director/DP Andrew Barrera, a Texas local, to capture motion that conveyed explosive athleticism, while LA-based photographer Jesse Jennings delivered dynamic stills that highlighted Henry’s strength, precision, and power. From kickoff to final delivery, the campaign embodied speed at every frame.
Campaign 2:
On the Trail in the Pacific NorthwestFor Amazfit’s next chapter, we shifted gears to the trails and forests of Portland, Oregon. This shoot captured a trail runner and mountain biker pushing limits in natural, fast-moving environments. Photographer Brenton Salo created striking stills that emphasized endurance and adaptability, while DP Cole Becker led motion that followed the athletes’ rhythm through rugged climbs and fluid descents. The result was a campaign that celebrated resilience, stamina, and flow.Together, these two productions formed a powerful dual narrative for Amazfit. One showcased explosive strength and the other highlighted endurance in motion. Across locations, sports, and crews, Toil Studio delivered campaigns that were nimble in execution and bold in creative, embodying the very spirit of Amazfit’s performance-driven technology.
